  • Yeah this comment got pinned. Big deal.

  • 19:27 cough cough the queens gambit, cough

  • cable CAN be good. Its just a matter of scraping through the nonsense too find the gems. Same with netflix

  • I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE IS THE WORST SHOW ON TV!!!!!

  • Yo no cap they rlly do always love it instead of leave it

    • I’m high as shit rn

  • I unplugged the tv and stopped watching sports 20 years ago. My life is MUCH better for it. 🖕 Modern Entertainment LCD everytime

  • These were both originally Korean shows wtf

  • So you think whites only watch HGTV? Anti white bigot...

  • Hulu is basically diet cable for cheap more redundant ads and ok shows Netflix is the best option for artistic Ness and their live action shows are great with some exceptions Disney plus is good for legacy content and is better than Netflix for kids

  • cable in my country is 2 dollars per month and it is so good and my parents are happy with it and theres tons of chanels

  • So my husband and I get free direct TV with our apartment and before moving to this apartment complex I had never had cable in my life so I was excited to try it. And then I did and I could not for the life of me figure out why anyone would pay for it

  • This is exactly why cable is dying. Pride cometh before a fall...lol just look at what happened to blockbuster when netflix came out with thier streaming service

  • Oh Canada playing over the waving American flag, well done

  • I realized why I like this guy...its because he's basically John Mulaney.

  • The Rookie is a really good show tho

  • The kh reference got me

  • That's why I stopped watching cop shows, they all became the same to me and just got boring.

  • Criminal minds hit different though

  • The American rip-off of I Can See Your Voice doesn't hold a candle to the Korean one :(

  • no one opens the door for a native new yorker

  • 4:20 if you shake your phone sideways it kinda looks like the audience is moving

  • I work for the Xfinity cable company and I can guarantee that the tv cable service is dying and the internet service is rising. Also the broadcasting fee from the cable company is forced because fcc charges the cable company a fee. It’s dumb but what can you do.

  • So many amazing show’s i’ll never find time to watch, seriously it would be easier to read 5 books at once, at least then you could make progress in the story wherever you are.

  • “And constantly interrupted my comerc....”gets interrupted with an ad

  • "these people are idiots but i can't stop watching it" perfect way to describe CW/Riverdale

  • I watched in the dark as it premiered on tv and I really enjoyed that. Other than that I agree with everything else

  • You should have watched the next show after masked singer

  • Magnum pi is good

  • Mr. Robot was the last good cable television show. Facts

  • i laughed at rugrats md but im very tempted to google it because i cant tell if its a joke...

  • This is freaken educational lol

  • “Capitalism breads innovation”

  • youtube in future

  • I'm sorry but even though I love NCIS I agree with when they finish a case the criminals like forget they are bad anf kill people and just give up lol

  • I work for a cable/internet provider in Canada. Holy f*** you guys have it bad down south

  • So no ones gonna talk about Drew’s Avatar the Last Airbender, Uncle Iroh Jasmine tea tee shirt....I am so disappointed

  • king of masked singer is a korean show

  • fyi masked singer is a version of a really good Korean show called the king of masked singer. The original one is all about the music with the extra of not knowing the singer’s face. The masks are simple, like a full face carnival mask, with the mouth area covered with a thin fabric so that it’s easy to sing. The stage is also simple so that the focus is on the voice and the overall atmosphere isn’t formal, both the panel and the public are dressed comfortably. It’s just a casual space to have fun listening to people sing (and they’re all actually good singers). In the US version it’s all about making it extravagant and shocking, with masks and stage production that make it hard to sing to your full potential and all kinds of things unrelated to the actual music. The Spanish version just started airing and they’re not even singing live. Furthermore, in the original all the performances are 3+ minutes long. This shows how much each country cares about the actual music and it’s honestly sad to live in a country where in a show supposedly about singing they’re doing playback I can see your voice is another example of a great Korean show butchered by American tv bc they focus more on the magnitude of the set and dumb unfunny jokes than the actual music

  • How many times have I watched this video? Yes.

  • Succession is awesome 🙌🏼

  • Why do you keep changing the title.

  • Pluto TV is free and is really great.

  • 9:36 well played Drew...well played

  • I love how immediately as drew starts talking about commercials, an ad comes up. Give this man more of what he deserves!!

  • 6:39 shirtless obama

  • Sports are for the not straight.

  • Oh dont worry, cable companies arent going anywhere. Because now their hooks are so deep in people as their internet service providers, that they're finding ways to drain your wallet for using free trials on Hulu too.

  • The masked singer is originally korean

  • So I had to pitch in a little, month after the video was posted. But the masked singer and the other singing show you're talking about here are both "taken" from South Korea, cuz I guess the clips from those shows got popular on YT and with the kpop wave I guess some higher up on those TV networks got word of that? But If the comparison of say, Hey, those south korean shows took those old ideas from American shows and put a little twist on them, then yeah that's actually probably completely true, so in the end it's like America started with something, South Korea took it, added a little twist that doesn't necessarily add much creativity IF we're to be honest and now America is doing it to them again. Oh wait that's Samsung and Apple

  • Damn man I forgot about G4, AOTS and XPlay were my shit! Munn before she got overly popular was every nerds dream girl lets be real.

  • yall watch cable? man I got my scratchy back door pirating site bro it's the shit pop up ads for days yall!

  • Hmmmm I think you’re a good guy. Thanks man.

  • the spectrum slander was beautiful, easily the best part of the video

  • Agt did the same thing with the huge zoom call audience thing it was mirrored like 4 or 6 times to make the audience seem bigger 💀

  • In Canada I can get all the sports streaming I want for 30$. Cable is useless for even sports now

  • G4 is coming back I heard.

  • This and the southpark episode made me understand better the crazyness of the cable on USA. There's just some ""deep"" things I would like to discuss: One is the freedom of creating a non-stop niche program package of content with all types of shows in the sense that, for example, are not all so deep and complex as HBO but keeps the quality. I believe that's one of the things that the other generations rely, even if the quality has been deteriorating. The other thing is that maybe for now these services are cheaper, but as result of the demand + the need to cover the costs of the servers or make money or whatever they will be more open to be more filled with publicity. Will be these services free even with a big amount of publicity? That only the future will tell, but that's what happens when social media becomes a medium. And one last thing: I feel like the streaming services have a strong agenda setting of the type of content and message that they want to deliver, this contains messages different to the ones that were from the classic TV and I feel that this may influence on the consumption of this media for older generations. You don't want to feel bombed with messages that you don't agree, instead, generations as millenials feel identified and even believe what they are imposed, we can use as study cases successful Netflix shows as tiger king, the social dilemma and etc, that what they really are is documentaries, a genre that doesn't tell you the truth but a way to see things, and a really dangerous weapon (this is the moment when you put on a tinfoil hat). I'll leave it here. I know I got excited, but I really love this topic and I only wish I could find more studies to study this with more detail. Whoever who reads untill the end, I hope that you are having a nice day! And dear internet fellow who's name I can't recall (my boyfriend love your videos and that's why I don't know your name but your content is really cool) thank you for bringing this and to give me an excuse to make this absurdly extended post!

  • I hate the Masked Singer and I Can See Your Voice with a passion words cannot describe

  • Of the crime shows, I don’t generally like them, but I WILL defend “Criminal Minds” because I do genuinely love the characters and think the actors are legitimately fantastic there.

  • When Drew was talking about medical shows he did not mention House M.D. That is because House is actually a very good show.

  • the only reason we still have cable is for all the history channel shows my dad watches and the excessive alaska shows he watches

  • x-play and attack of the show were the shit

  • wasn't the masked singers ripped off from the asian one that's actually good lmao

  • my apartment includes cable in my rent. its 60 dollars and includes internet. i just dont.... use the cable.... pretty sure cables biggest user base is anyone watching fox news. (judging by my family).... so you know.. propaganda is probably not far off the mark.

  • i like monk. and psyche, and lucifer. all fall under law n order.... but very loosely.

  • love how this went from, ha ha silly cable --> don't waste your money on this exploitative business

  • Was that an uncle iroh shirt

  • I had no idea what spectrum was until this month bc I got stationed on a base in Texas and they only provide spectrum and “boingo” here and oh my fuck I hate it so much

  • cable is already dead

  • I paid for a season of Drag Race with the Google Play store and of all the episodes - they didn't post the finale for two weeks. I avoided social media like the plague and still had it ruined by a random person I overheard. Google actually refunded me for the full season! (I am never an asshole to customer service, they just immediately offered me a refund lol)

  • He's right, I do love HGTV.

  • You got my to steer clear of cable. Thank you.

  • The Masked Dancer is a thing now.

  • why does he say "hey guy" in the beginning

  • Get a smart TV Netflix and u save 2000$

  • This video helps so much. Now I know to go with Netflix and other streaming services.

  • The Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora voice for Haley Joel Osment killed me

  • The fact that an ad played the moment he said constantly interrupted by commercials

  • Lol 0.5 % is technically risking ur life

  • Willy face!

  • Mmm...sportball

  • Im a little sad this wasn't mentioned but Masked Singer America is based off of the Japan version which is a lot lower budget but is geared towards up and coming stars to have a platform. Also Ryan Reynolds was on it

  • I feel called out

  • Yo how come all these guys got Apple watches

  • *alright don’t bring criminal minds or 9-1-1 or svu into this!*

  • This is one of my favorite videos. It’s like a stand up stage

  • telly telly bunkum box

  • ranting about his cable provider was way better than the rest of the video

  • Most of the stuff you could "only" get from cable is something you could get for free with an antenae

  • It was so hard to get G4 in my area at the time.

  • I like the original Korean variety shows because they're usually entertaining and well produced/written for their audience. I can see your voice is great in the original version. But the US and Europe seem to take these foreign recipes and then just make a lazy localized copy of it.

  • Yea I don’t have cable any more, haven’t for a while. Didn’t see any use for it since I started using different services like Hulu and Disney+. Not for one second have I thought “gosh, I wish I hadn’t canceled my cable”

  • I always loved Law and Order and CSI:Miami because of how over the top they were even though yea, every episode was basically the same lol

  • I'm getting cable internet from Xfinity, but they let me plug in my own modem. No charge. I also bought my own modem so I'm not leasing anything from them. Nice :) Oh yeah, screw cable. Haven't had it for 6 years, and don't miss it.

  • not to mention it’s like $6 to get live sports on hulu lmao

  • How does Disney play jacksepticye videos

  • My favorite sports show on NBC CBS law&order FBI New York las vagas

  • I didn't get pinned.

  • "they have more stuff to watch on-demand, like the 2016 classic pixels. staring Kevin James as the president" -why is it that this statement is true?

  • "the best thing about cable is that it's on all the time" -dang
