  • Brogue guy is a police composite sketch...right? What's the reward on him?

  • The brogue is really the Gavin Mcinnes

  • Stubble is not a beard like an Infant is not a toddler

  • Doc Holiday and Johnny Ringo made the Van Dyke cool to me

  • Also The Ducktail Beard Style

  • My beard style is called: Don't give a crap, it has a life of it's own, beard oil? i use pizza grease, i can smell pepperoni for days.

  • If you can grow hair on your head, you do not need a beard to compensate.

  • My beard is alot like yours, except I don't shave my neck. I haven't shaved sence 1980. I did just take about 9 inches off. It got to be a pain in the butt having it that long. I do like your video and thank you.

  • your focus is all over the place.

  • What about the good old Chops styles ?

  • I am partial to the ducktailed Heisenberg

  • I don't care, for me, the beard is like hair; I would style it whatever makes me comfortable. I am growing my mustache and beard right now, and I love it. I don't go for the rules; I do what I like and the way I want it to be.

  • You earned a subscriber with the soul patch! Or I mean why of course why. Great video!

  • Looks like you brushed your beard upwards before you flattened the sides. Is that correct?

  • First time to your channel. Hooked and subbed.

  • Man or gf

  • Great video

  • 3:07 “number 4th, the long beard.” Title: #3 THE LONG BEARD😂😂

  • Bro i don’t even have a beard im a freshmen in high school i just like watching these lmao

    • @Kakashi_Sensei San that's okay too buddy

    • Not only do I not have a beard I am bald.

    • I’m in my study hall rn I should prolly do my hw

  • A soul pach doesn't belong on a man's face, it belongs on a vagina

  • You forgot the Lemmy Kilmeister

  • 😃💪

  • Beard oil is also for the skin so you can use it with a short beard

  • My beard a full beard struggling to look how it should after god knows how long growing it. 26 years old never once shaved my moustache have trimmed it but it’s never needed a razor.

  • I've tried doing a goatee before....i just look like i should register as a sex offender after. I could do a full beard and get away with my island of patchy cheeks, it just gets out of hand when the haris get too long, especially my sideburns. Before you know it, they're forming words in cursive 🤦🏻‍♂️😒

  • would love a video on how you cut/do your hair bro

  • You are the Beard Man, Matty! You really know your stuff. Your advice and descriptions are on point! Thanks for all the lingo and skill set that a great beard MUST have!

  • Damn i wanted to have a Brogue, since i saw it on Captain Price in Call of Duty...

  • BEARD MAKES MAN A MATURE MAN

  • I want a video on how to do The Brogue.

  • Bro you need to change your camera or lighting

  • What about the Hemingway? That what people say my beard looks like.

  • I've had a beard for 14 yrs, before the niche beard product market came about. Don't wash it everyday, (shower everyday, just rinse beard, shampoo 2X a week) regular Suave conditioner works fine for longer beards with a cool rinse. It doesn't have ...cone ingredients and is plenty cheap, everywhere. Van Dyke and Goatees are only acceptable on younger men. 35 & up, the proper beard is full, at least medium length to throw away your razor.

  • My genetics have decided for me a goatee is my only option. Patchy cheeks, fair hair and skin, and a mockingly slow growth rate and density. It has taken 9 months to do what most grow in 3 and it is still scraggly and thin

  • Shave it and all is ok !

  • Ha ha,,,,

  • I’ve never used product on my beard nor would I.

  • Subscribed

  • My husband has a beard. It hasn’t made this list though. I _thought_ the Captain Birdseye was an actual style. It really suits my husband, although I know he will look 100% better once the barbers open for proper beard grooming again. I’ve had a full year of trying to keep his hair and beard looking tidy and presentable.

  • Awesome video! When will you get your beard brush back in stock?

  • Very informative indeed. Keep it up

  • Hey Matty I hear you say a good pair of clippers is there a specific clipper you would recommend?

    • @Matty Conrad thanks man that's exactly the video I would need!

    • I’m gonna do a comparison video on professional gear vs drug store stuff. I’ll let you know!

  • I've got the Lumberjack beard going now but it is getting too long and scared to trim it on my own. Having a tough time finding a good "Beard Barber" in Atlanta. I went to someone and they ruined it and dont want to go back to them. Where can you go to find a decent barber that knows how to cut beards?

    • @Christian Doom Actually, I went to Alex at DeLeon Barber and was very pleased, but I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

    • Dude hit up “jack and sons barber “ you can make an appointment he usually at the Roswell location and have Neryk hook you up. He’s legit. That’s all he really does there.

    • I don’t know anyone specifically in Atlanta... hopefully someone on here does

  • Might I suggest the full Karl Marx, for that you do not need a barber until birds start nesting in it.

  • Its so funny to see those people opinions in comments who can’t even grow a beard 💀💀💀

  • im going for the long beard but with the full beard/lumberjack styling. im about 3 months away from the Yeard and am really seeing great shape now instead of a wild looking mess.

    • That’s awesome... the long beard has a fairly significant awkward phase. Bravo for staying the course

  • I only knew 6 of these. Thanks for bringing me up to speed.

    • Was soul patch one of them? I never thought of it as a beard

  • "Sorry dude. This is just not a beard. It's a garnish." Cracked me up.

    • I'm still laughing. I'll probably embarrass myself in public the next time I see one and burst out laughing. 🤣

  • beard oil is for your skin. now you know.

  • I want the lumber jack full beard or the duck tail! I'm getting there, I shaved it all off about 1.5 months ago and I'm already half way easily. I just need to be able to trim it properly, because I fucking SUCK at making a shape without ruining it! Can't wait until lock down is over :(

    • Check out my beard grooming video with GQ

  • Beard oil is for the skin, beard balm is for the hairs. You can use beard oil on a smooth face if you wanted. It’s just a moisturizer

    • @Matty Conrad yeah definitely some oil will make you break out if its too heavy, I personally use castor oil on my short beard, (which is way heavier than most beard oils) and I don't break out because it has great anti-bacterial properties.

    • It really depends on what’s in it... and why skin type you have... most beard oils I have found are much heavier than they need to be and running heavier oil into an oily skin type will wreak havoc.

    • Agreed!

  • Great video and beard

  • My beard? I call it the lazy Reynolds.

  • Good Job, MATTY ...I was waiting for the 'Frank Zappa' to give the 'Soul Patch' some qualified basicity ...but no (It's O.K) ...Next do 'Artistic Etching' (Pictures in the Head and Beard) and 'TATS'

  • This is really helpful! My fiance is trying to grow his beard out but thinks it needs to be shaped so i watched a few of you're videos so I can help him out!

  • I had a brogue shape but got sick of eating it every mealtime with my food. I had to wash my tash 3 times a day

  • woooooo how stuff gets complicated mmmmmmm

  • The only Van Dyke that comes too mind is Dick

  • Anyone who ever mentions Van Dyke style beards should give honourable mention to Alexander Scriabin. His stache is spectacular!

  • #6 Chris Cornell

  • FFs i really need to find myself a barber.

    • Find a GOOD one that does beards like these. Not just a regular barber that happens to just do basic beards.

  • So if I walk into a beard barber and point to my un-kept and now a year old covid beard and say "make this a garibali" will they know what I'm talking about?

    • I agree. A picture is always the easiest way to communicate what you are looking for.

    • Probably! But a demonstration picture would be helpful

  • I’m gonna have the fattest Ranga beard

  • Ha! Nice try, Matty Conrad. Speaking as a "kids party magician," Everybody knows we can't grow facial hair! #Alakazam

  • No they don’t

  • Jobtitle without "craft" in it... uhm Carmechanic?

    • I was trying to figure what the "craft" of priests is.. :)

  • What is beard break out

    • Its the skin underneath the beard that has breakouts... acne and that type of thing

  • #9 bike thief

  • Beard oil only on the longer parts?

    • Actually beard oil is best suited to skin underneath the longer parts. the longer the beard hair is the more it tulles the necessary moisture and oils away from the skin. beard oil helps replenish that. thanks for watching

  • Where's the "Matty" beard shape?

    • @Matty Conrad And it's already sick as shit! Can only imagine what the final outcome will look like on you.

    • Mine is in transition towards the lumberjack

  • My beard style: Mountain! Long beard never trimmed

    • and a glorious beard it is brethren! Congrats

  • The lumberjack is probably where mine is but I trim it to a dove tail every so often

  • Hey Matty love the vids. Is there a good trimmer you'd recommend that won't break the bank? Thanks!

    • @Matty Conrad awesome!

    • You have inspired me to do a comparison video! I'll look around for one!

  • 8 beard styles every hipster needs to know. xD

  • You mentioned a lot of these won't work with patchy beards. So... what will?? Need help as my cheeks are a lot less dense than the rest. Thanks!

    • @Matty Conrad Good point. It can also depend on his age. In many cases your beard will thicken as you get older.

    • Im just doing a bit of work on putting together a patchy beard video. But depending on how sparse it is you can either grow it longer for coverage or go for a goatee style that is a bit more solid and suitable.

  • The Garibaldi!

    • Its a good one. perfect for a narrow face shape.

  • i got good beard growth but got a balding/bald head and round face shape, what beard typ fits that? saw a few i liked but styles had cool haircuts with it. any tips?

    • Hey Victor! a squared our full beard usually looks great with a bald head!

    • Go bald and get smth square to give u some jawline.

  • Goatee style with connected mustache..only my beard is 7" long so far

  • My beard shape : abandoned

    • Hahaha. this wins the comment section

  • Epic

  • Alright, but would you recommend the hair tonic from Red dead redemption 2? I'm starting to think to try it because of my weak facial hair growth

  • great video

  • Hmm... I’m trying with a lumberjack style , but my moustache refuse to grow 🧐 is just over the lip last 2 years Thanks for the video

    • always work with what you have my dude! TBH a big moustache is oven more trouble than its worth...

  • I want the lumberjack

    • I actually played clash royale until few months back... noticed your display picture haha

  • I am interested in the beard that you called "brogue beard", but on the internet that style does not exists. Could you please provide a more common name for such beard?

    • Seems some people refer to it as a “BeardStache” 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • Me too

  • I like your videos matty keep up the great work

  • am i losing it? or did he just make fun of himself for having s soul patch? lol

    • He did... not my best look 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • I'm getting too old, I got grey hair in my beard.

  • My beard shape: A 13 year old mustache and blonde baby hair everywhere else

  • You may call that a hipster beard but to me it'll always be a Biker Beard from those Biker Gangs 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Waiting your GQ process :))

  • Ducktail

  • 2-3 weeks shaped stubble! BOI TRY 2 days!

    • @Matty Conrad it’s not a good thing either lmfao.

    • Some people just got those beard growing genes 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • What kind of Hat is this guy wearing!!!??

  • Just wanted to say that probably you will not have a lots of views... you need to be watched once every 4 weeks as every time I see your video I want to trim my beard. So authentic and natural. I would be a much more happier man if I would watch you earlier. =) I am happy that you started your own YT channel. Keep it up and do not stop!!!

  • I want to know what brand and style the hat is?

  • It is your beard in 2 months? Man now Im jealos T_T

  • my question is, why would anyone even grow only a Soul patch? what is the point?

    • @Patryk Szafraniec 🤮

    • So you don't look like your sister while sporting your man bun.

    • @Jason Hardy of course, if you can’t grow a beard for any reason than grow what you can, but there are people in this world that can grow a full beard and still grow only a soul patch

    • LOL, my brother works a job that requires wearing a respirator. The area were the respirator contacts the face has to be clean shaven. So, he sports a soul patch. But otherwise, yeah, I agree.

  • how about the viking beard? long front, short/none sides

    • That one will be featured in my upcoming video "8 BEARD STYLES EVERY MAN NEEDS TO KNOW IN 1421"

  • My beard is two month in now but resembles the remains of a forest fire

    • @Patriot Mike dang, im still here waiting for the hormones to kick in

    • Yall are making me feel lucky. I have medium density black hair but I have disconnect between all three areas so I never tried to grow anything except a goatee or Van Dyke with mutton chops or sideburns. It recently dawned on me that if I let the hairs grow that eventually the patches will be covered. 3 months later I have a full beard at 2.5 inches. I cant wait to see what I will have in a year from now. All I can say to you is don't give up if you really want a beard. Your beard us your beard and as long as you maintain it right it will look good eventually. There us also that microdermic needle roller that they offer on this channel that works to bring out dormant hairs.

    • Lmfao, welcome to the club

    • Hahaha

    • HAHAHA
