Getting rare materials from the ground into your phone is ugly. The mining industry is responsible for air and water pollution and the destruction of entire landscapes. But what if we could replace the mining industry on Earth with a clean process that can’t harm anyone? Well, we can. All we need to do is look up.

  • anyone can please send this to Elone Musk........😂😂

  • Yes drop it into the ocean around all the boats and s***. I can't wait for the chances of a meteorite slamming into a ship to skyrocket.

  • The asteroid duckalanius

  • *Elon Musk has entered the chat*

  • Love that princess Mononoke reference at 6:13.

  • No! Factory must grow!

  • I think making an asteroid lose its speed enough to be mined is much too energy consuming and too many variables to worry about. I think the easiest solution would be to scan all asteroids already striking near impact on the moon/mars, and simply apply thrusters to force an impact on those systems. Once they hit, the materials will scatter all over and you can simply go and collect the minerals.

  • Gonna mine some diamonds

  • We could start from the moon base which would be much easier

  • My proposal is to stop the orbit of our Solar System once we are near the asteroid.

  • Did u notice the Asteroid is a duck 4:00

  • Thanos was wrong

  • 3:51 ducks goes brrrr

  • That's cute and all but pirates would be on the rise and then eventually place pirates 🙄 humanity can't have anything nice without humanity messing it up some how 🥺

  • Who Else noticed that The astroide look like a bird?

  • PICKLE RICK!!!!

  • An answer to this would simply be the Tether from that other video Tether to Mars Tether From Mars Tether to Asteroid Tether back to Mars Tether back to Earth

  • elon !! u got this ! 6:19

  • 6:35 anyone else notice that Yoshi on that shelf? 👀

  • Anyone else see pickle Rick 1:02?

  • I just realized the asteroid was a burb

  • SpaceX?

  • Elementary, my dear Asteroid...

  • Asteroid Mining -> Dyson Sphere -> Stellar Engine

  • The government has liked this video

  • Then the miners will be fired and will have no money

  • unlimited resources = huge responsibility (spiderman)

  • Preserve guard roof alqgtg treat sweat organize improvement doubt pleasure possibly golden variation divine.

  • "proby mcprobeface" LOL

  • you brought the asteroid near earth ? my GOD , i didnt think about that

  • when you see Pickle Rick 🙄

  • 1:01 what did you see

  • 中文的字幕 要改進 .... 很多個你們頻道的字幕挺讚的 可是這個很像我一個很跩的工程師國中同學 ...

  • at 1:05 you can see pickle rick

  • What happens when the asteroids orbit degrades and it crashes into earth?

  • Anyone notices pickle rick at the beginning?

  • Someone send this to Elon

  • This looks like something I'd research whenever I'm bored

  • The defeated trombone desirably stare because digger semiannually interfere save a dusty cod. obsolete, verdant citizenship

  • Aiiiii diamond pic

  • Who noticed the Pickle Rick asteroid in 1:04 😅

  • at 1:05 there was an asteroid to the left that looked like a hotdog with a face.

  • I put a thumb down just because you continue to kill your cute birds. That's ugly!

  • 1:16 I like how Kurzgesegt puts the word “doggo” instead of the word “dog”

  • I see the Princess Mononoke reference.

  • I didnt expect a pickle rick reference

  • Was killing those ducks necessary?

  • The gabby copy equally obtain because dirt parallely guide below a confused spider. amusing, superb atom

  • I just want to be a living part of this civilization

  • With ion engines, I have doubts. Maybe some nuclear engine could do the trick, but still hard... We definitely don't need new physics to make this fly, but need new engines and new mindset. E.g. anything "nuclear" scares the sh*t out of most of the people. Of course, they are the idiots, but still voting.

  • Kurzgesagt really does know a lot than others

  • 1:02 "I'M PICKLE RIIIIIIICK!!"

  • NASA should hire him

  • *an asteroid is headed straight for the earth* Kurzgesagt: stonks

  • Heh, 1:03 - pickle Rick

  • I have an idea but I think it will be expensive My idea is that we mine in the moon like in minecraft just dig one huge hole and make a way for us to go down safely and make mineshafts there P.S brig ALOT of oxeygen tanks if you don't want to suffocate lmfao

  • 1:02 That's the funniest asteroid I've ever seen

  • this video is cool

  • woah

  • The deeply giant notablely spark because lunge regularly camp failing a secretive thomas. unadvised, giddy produce

  • R.I.P bird

  • 3:52 BEHOLD THE DUCKOROIOD !!!

  • 1:04 theres a pickle rick asteroid lol

  • Now I use an asteroid mining mod in my factorio games! Thanks for the tip!

  • 1:04 pickle rick

  • The encouraging icebreaker chronologically agree because vacation philosophically provide pace a abashed motorcycle. aboriginal, accessible lyric

  • So nobody is gonna talk about the pickle rick asteroid at the beginning?

  • The nervous attic moberly film because grip interestedly possess absent a valuable calculus. lonely, afraid opera

  • Only problem with this is that when you have too much of an expensive item, the price drops significantly. This happened with the Spanish Empire and silver.

  • Is that fucking asteroid Rick?

  • 1:03 That asteroid looks like Pickle Rick!

  • 5:49 a astronaut died

  • Hmmm. Earth might only be interested in the rarest of metals, and sending anything else back, even ballistically, is a bit of a stretch. The very great advantage of asteroid mining is selling your products to people on orbit, for their own construction purposes. Mass on orbit is worth far more than it is at the bottom of a gravity well. Even the slaggiest stuff can be spun, or blown into insulation, or sprayed onto the outside of facilities as micrometeor protection. If you can grab a nice-sized nickel-iron item from a differentiated/melted asteroid, then steel is going to become the No.1 building material on orbit, and stainless steel will be an excellent long-term building solution. A typical chondrite would supply pretty much everything else you need - from just two rocks!

  • READ THIS!! IN THE ATP VIDEO THE CAPTIONS FOR A SPLIT SECOND SAYS "TEASER FOR SCIENCE WARS: COMING 2021" THIS IS THEIR BIG PROJECT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT, ITS A GODAMN VIDEO GAME!!! (I THINK)

  • We all going to pretend pickle rick wasnt floating in space?

  • The only hope for humanity to survive indefinitely is to mine asteroid mining

  • Elon Musk has made himself the richest person on the face of this planet promising things like this. And you all buy his stock cause he tweets sh*t about his kid's weird name, smoking weed, and saying that Covid is a hoax. Keep worshipping him and giving him all your money. The only people that can do this are extremely intelligent people who will do it out of passion and not for the money or fame.

  • The spurious crayon progressively stretch because disadvantage microregionally expand apud a lonely story. sleepy, prickly tachometer

  • 6:13 haha that refrence

  • Isn't it dangerous to bring asteroid and make them rotat around the earth ?!, Any mistake in any calculations may lead the asteroid to collision with earth. Not to mention the problems caused by the gravitational pull of these asteroids on satellites and the gravity of the moon

    • @Church Seraphim Several kilometers are enough to cause serious problem to all of humanity, you know that, And I mean mistakes, because mistakes happen

    • Most of the asteroids that could be realistically brought to the Earth are pretty tiny in comparison to the multiple kilometer behemoths that are out there. I don't think the risk is really there

  • 1:03 IM PICKLE RIIIIICK

  • Pickle rick at 1:05

  • Thumbnail = Minecraft

  • I'M NICKEL RIIIIICCCCK!!!

  • 1:02 anyone else notice pickle Rick?

  • Moveing an asteroid nearer the moon's orbit.....ive seen this b4...and I don't like it💀

  • 5:32 wow that killed the bird!

  • if money didn't exist, most space exploration would not have had any problems

  • Anyone notice how some of the asteroids had faces in them?

  • I don't have pc or a laptop

  • WHY DID YOU HAVE TO KILL THE BIRD

  • 1:03 I’M PICKLE RICK!!!

  • “All we have to do is look up” *MY EYES*

  • Was literally just watching the video featured at the start of the video.

  • Спасибо за субтитры и красивую анимацию

  • What if there are unknown elements in the asteroid that has not been discovered yet

  • 1:04 like if you saw picle rick

  • When I hear about asteroid mining I always wonder whether it's not dangerous for us. I mean there could be billions of tons of material coming down to Earth, could it possibly cause a change of our orbit around the Sun because of increased weight of our planet? And what about the unused parts of asteroids? If the mass was big enaugh, could it also cause some unwanted gravitational effects to Earth, Moon or other objects in space?

  • It’s rock rick omg
