Let's get a better mental model beyond just "because blue light scatters more". I stream science LIVE M-W-F 1pm PT.
Here is Sally's channel!! She is live streaming a series on evolutionary biology- ischats.info
BOSE will be sending out 8 pairs of their dope 700 headphones. 4 will go to people who post about our class on Insta, Twitter, FB or TikTok. 4 will go to my favorite challenge responses or answers to questions. You can post your challenges by tagging me on any social media platform.
Ummæli
im blind though.... jk ;)
Can't u start these series again
Plz do it
Hi mark! Needed to watch this from school lol 😂
Simple
Q : If we pass a white light through a prism will it break into infra-red and ultra-voilet rays?
oh i took this class haha
i missed a lot of classes
F for plant
That was so f*** awesome! Its often really fascinating what the rules are and how the World works! Thanks for doing these videos!
@Joe Mama He is a science-freak indeed! YEAH SCIENCE!
The freak
The interlacing man
1:56 the moment i realized what he was referring to. it is literally so unnoticable.
dip your hand in oil then put in water
Does transparent stuff absorb light or reflect ? Hmm for example plastic sheet, I think light will go through it . Will it reflect or absorb ? Mark ?
F
F for my plant
Blue sky = Water outside of dome firmament.
@positive Vibrations Exactly. Their "proof" has been disected, torn to shreds, and proven false so bad that they wiped the mainstream internet clean of the topic and even removed all related educational content on YT in 2017 and replaced them all with joke/prank videos. Very strange move for something labeled as a silly conspiracy theory. I mean why not also remove all the UFO, bigfoot, and lochness monster videos too right?
Facts nobodies ever been to space
The blueness on the world globe, is the sky ;)
is the sky blue because the sun reflects blue rase from the sky
This was so awesome, thank you SO much Mark!! You're legitimately a great teacher, I just made my sister and mom watch this with me and they loved it too. Keep doing this, I think it's really good for the world.
f
14:37 was that a voice crack
All he said was lies, it was obviously a gender reveal that made the sky blue
well THIS is gonna make high school physics easier idk i've never been in high school
corona rating science teacher man: 0/10 me: 108409284093809859043805803280850/ 10
3:28 "We'll just get right into it" Is that ironic?
apparently, the buoyancy thing is not that hard lol
Did u notice the voice crack
OK Google... Count down 8 min... 😁
not true
In germany sundets are like coton candy (blue and pink)
I think he really needed to go to the toilet towards the end
I just wish that mark rober can be my science teacher-
I'm a grown adult, I knew every bit of this going in, and I was still highly entertained.
The divergent straw statistically guarantee because ferryboat undoubtedly saw an a anxious bit. efficacious, standing april
wow.this is great
He seems very akward lol
Wow that’s cool
9:50 can we admire that sound affect and how perfect it was lol
After watching this, I'm wondering how does bleach work?
This has been great. Appreciate your enthisiasm too. Learned so much.
mark i came across your videos an i have a important question to ask you about this video would the electromagneitc waves be the same for a colour blind person or would it be different
Green has left the chat
I thought the water reflects on the sky or the other way round
why is water wet
7:08
Cool videos
because god loves the infantry
R.I.P my plant
Mark look so nervous. Lol
Why is the sky not violet?
I thought that science is lousing intrest but it is true which we all know that the teacher is not cool like mark
Nobel gases is the reason for all the different colors of the sky. God created such an amazing beautiful flat stationary earth!
Also the firmament above holds back the waters. Meaning what weve been told is space is actually water and nobody is going there.
i will not mind if he is my physics teacher
i want to work at nasa because of mark that is the ony reason i get good grades
F💔🥲
Mark Rober, to me, always seemed like one of the coolest dudes on ISchats. I forgot that someone who worked at NASA must've been a nerd. Love seeing this passion
In order to see the reds well, make sure you use an old incandescent flashlight. If you use a modern LED flashlight, pick one with a high CRI and R9 value.
he needs to do more of these
Mark would be the coolest teacher in school
Ithought of kids said because I love you ha hanot to worry
If Mark was my science teacher I would actually like the classes
but seriously why would anyone give this video a thumbs down? and then 505 dislikes, why? Mark you are the man! Great video again, subscribed!
What does it mean that the particles resonate with other particles?
Mark's videos are great, building every kind of device, testing, teaching.
I,m thinking all water reflects on 🌎 earth
I had a better understanding about this concept prior to your video..
Mark you areee sooooooo goooddd at presantions
So if the nitrogen and oxygen like blue the most why aren’t they the ones instantly absorbed and instead reflected and showed to us?
@sally dont put your hand in the water to get wet
I thing he needs a intro with a song added like if you agree
IT'S ALSO BECAUSE GOD LOVES THE INFANTRY!
Mark is the dream science teacher
Had to stop watching.. I loved the squirrel video....
Everyone else sees the sun as yellow right? Mark.... I know what you meant. I guess... but most people see the sun as yellow.. sorry but let's ask the crowd to establish a majority, rather than making a statement.. and quickly moving on glossing over what you said.
So the story and song really ought to be ... rudolph the ultraviolet nosed reindeer .... ?
Mark, it's called and Erlenmeyer Flask
Actually violet has shorter wavelength . Imagine if the sky was violet
I need him as my science teacher
ohhhh so thats why light is orange when i put the torch light through my hand
F
Lol, I am watching this on a saturday.
Ya know what? You just proved every flat earther wrong in one fell swoop! If the earth was flat, the sun's color wouldn't change at all. It would simply move farther into the distance but it's intensity would remain. The sunset proves that the sun is in an arch! I still believe it's God created because there still needed to be thought behind it's beauty. Science doesn't cancel out God's existence. It proves it.
I don’t know why but u are in nasa but u want to be physics teacher like why mark rober u are awesome with nasa
This is really exciting
mark im subscribed
How do rainbows form
Mark should answer why are peoples hair a diffrent color.🤔
The 504 people who disliked this are people who think the sky is green.
Every mum and dad:whos that he wont teach u anything go to school for once rather than watching ur phone. Me:he teaches good stuff u know he has 14 million subscribers. Mum and dad:what are those even if it was that much there are 7 billion ppl in the world
Because God loves the infantry. ⛩🇺🇲
*Me looking in the corner* sees metal flying poles HuH
"the photons are here look out your window" *looks out of window although i know its night*
i understand nothing with ur normal vids but with science class i understand the science
so the sky is blue because the smaller wavelengths are being scattered by nitrogen? but I thought the scattering of light waves is what causes them to disperse and become less visually perceptible, like how a flashlight appears to become dimmer over distance but it's just because the light is being scattered by the air molecules. So if the blue light is being scattered by the nitrogen molecules, doesn't that mean we *wouldn't* see them, so the sky *wouldn't* be blue? kind of like how you were describing how sunset works, because the blue light is scattered and loses focus. im confused. *EDIT* Or, maybe it's not that the nitrogen disperses the light, but simply that it behaves like a selective prism, diverging the blue light from the white light, so that's why we see it?
Good question"
Ever since my first high school physics class, I’ve been excited for the day one of my unsuspecting future kids might ask this question. Now I have a lesson plan. Thanks, Mark!
Anyone else’s sound cut out around 9 minutes?
I’d rather watch this than do school
CV RAMAN had this question first i think.....................
I’m at 50 seconds and I think it’s because there are like water in the clouds or raining and it reflects blue light
