  • Together with a friend I got out of an escape room in 54 minutes, the setting was a spaceship and we are both female. We probably could have been faster if we had known these tips. It was our second escape room. In the first there was a mechanism triggered by an inactive motion sensor, so we had to stay completely still for about 30 seconds. That was tough, because my friend kept fidgeting 😅

  • We went to an escape room once. It didn't go well. the place really needed some things fixed. there were transparent sheets (3) that you needed to put back to back and shine a light through to see the code which you needed to decipher. they were really scratched and opaque so we couldn't see it. We spend the full hour unable to get past the 1st puzzle because of this. we then went through the rest of the room and wouldn't have been able to finish it because of similar problems. maybe the occasional piece we could do but it was all very worn in bad places. like you needed to look at a small engraving and see that it was the same as another but it was so small and worn you would only be able to find it if you knew it was there.
